Nachdem mmat1 2012 zuletzt den "Oblomow" in der Übersetzung von Hermann Röhl eingestellt hatte, wurde es Zeit, dass von Iwan Gontscharow sein opus maximum, "Die Schlucht" (1869), hier erscheint. Es tut dies in der seinerzeit auch bei Manesse publizierten Übersetzung von August Scholz, die mir sehr gut gefallen hat. -
Wer um dickleibige Bücher lieber einen Bogen macht: dieses hat im Print 1200 Seiten - ich habe keine einzige davon zu lesen bereut.
