Just a thought...

Everyone change their avatar to George Carlin for the next 24 hours, given the man's contributions to Unutterable Silliness in his lifetime.

Right behind you ....

The man was one of my heroes. I had a nice cry this morning when I heard he had passed away.

i am sad to say that i did not know George Carlin. but after reading the article that RWood posted a link to, i think a tribute in the form of an avatar is the least he deserves. and i will definitely be taking a closer look, and feeling sad that i didn't find out about him sooner.

Zeep .... from what little I know of you ... you would have laughed yourself sick at his humor.

He did this one routine ... it was all about "stuff." About getting stuff, and then needing stuff to go with your stuff, and then needing a place to put your stuff.

I remember back when he was the "Hippy Dippy Weather Man" ... oh man ... soooooo funny!!!

Late one Saturday night in a dirty gas station garage, the mechanics have left an 8-track tape blaring in the bays with Carlin's "The Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV". The door's closed to the customer area where the guys have camped out briefly for Cokes and smokes. Okay, time to go back to work. Mechanic opens the door just as Carlin yells "...And then there's c***sucker!" All mechanics falling over in laughter. I usually have little patience for vulgarity but sometimes low humor is just the ticket.

Didn't know the guy of the avatar, until earlier today I happened upon the following article (my apologies if it's been posted earlier):

Well, respect is due here ...
