Thanks Shayne. I'll have a think as I have nothing prepared. If doubleshuffle would like a go, then please go ahead.

Okay, here's one I pinched from the UK Quiz show "Only Connect". You have to work out the four sets of connections between the sixteen words or phrases in the table below. There are four sets of four words, each group of four being connected in some way. One point for each connection of four words, and another point if you can tell me what the connection is.
Note: there is no overall connection between all sixteen words, just between the sets of four. PS - on the show, you only have three minutes to get all the connections. For this quiz you have time to make a cup of tea while you think it through . |

Tootles, Nibs, Curly and The Twins and Slightly are all lost boys from Peter Pan, so one of them isn't in this group.
I could post five different guesses, but perhaps you'll be generous enough just to give me the points and tell us which one isn't in the group? |

I can't do that, as it indicates which one belongs to a different group. If you work out that grouping, then it will become obvious. 1 point for the linkage though.

Chilli cheese, curly and French are all types of fries/chips. I don't recognise a fourth one, though.

That also gives pdurrant the answer to which of them does not belong to the Lost Boys, so another point to him. |

That leaves up with five items, one of which is a kind of chip, and the other four are connected in some way. Hmmm....

Lee Marvin plays a gunslinger named Hector David in Bad Day at Black Rock. Somehow a Molotov cocktail (filled with gasoline!) plays a role in that film too.
So what are Bishop fries?? |

So that just leaves the Gunslinger/David/Marvin/Bishop group. Typical MR readers should have little problem with this grouping. |
