Nook is frozen

Hi all,

I need some help, I plugged my new nook into the wall charger last night and when I woke up this morning it is frozen in the "your nook is starting up" screen.

Any ideas on how I can get it working again?

Remove the back then remove the battery. Plug the nook in to the charger without the battery then put the battery back in. Turn it on and allow it to fully charge. I hope it helps.

Before you try and remove the battery, I would hold the power button down for 30 seconds. If this doesn't work, try it again.

It happened to me once ... I haven't seen any other reports, though - so I think the answer is no, it doesn't happen often

I had mine freeze up just once. I have had it since Feb 2010. I called tech and they walked me through what to do. The guy told me what happens is the battery discharges and gets so low it won't do anything so pulling the battery out then hooking up the charger then reinserting the battery then allowing it to fully charge corrects the problem if all else fails.
Glad it's fixed now.
