There was one user (can't remember where) who said that boyue o/s wasn't supporting Google apps out of the box with this device.

I"m mainly interested in having something that's Android 6.0 capable in order to use google docs etc.
Can anyone confirm?

Boyue did not include Google Play Store, etc., in the T63 that I bought some time ago. So, not surprising that it would not be on this new device.

Although many Android apps can be sideloaded onto this device (I assume), one would have to root this new device to install Play Store & other Google apps. Rooting itself may be easy or difficult. Then, once the device is rooted, installing Google apps is its own challenge!

In time, someone may figure all this out on the Likebook Mars and post how to do it.

I'm tempted by the Mars, but I'm trying to be good. I've spent too much money on what I already have!

Was the T63 ever successfully rooted and installed with Google play? If so, perhaps the method will be similar for Mars.

Yes, someone on this forum came up with a .bat file that would automatically root the T62/T63 and install Google Play for you. However, I doubt that this method would work with the Likebook Mars. Different hardware, newer Android version, different firmware. But, I suppose that if someone tried it, the worst that could happen is... nothing!

I saw those videos. But one reviewer says that Play Store is not installed on his Likebook Mars.

The description of this device on Amazon doesn't mention Google Play Store. That doesn't mean anything one way or the other, but it would be nice to have some official clarification.

Someone asked a question of the seller on Amazon. Here is the seller's response, consistent with what is stated above: "Our product features are still in the process of being improved. We will release a new firmware version next month, which will support the google play store and automatically update the firmware when it is available."

The hands-on usage videos by Eyes Hu on youtube are thorough and detailed, giving a realistic idea of how this device handles.

I'd like to hear more about battery life though.

Once the firmware upgrade that adds Google play is online, then my next concern will be figuring out which vendor to buy it from!
