Storybundle's SF bundle
Once again Storybudle puts out a great deal. You get 8 ebooks for $10 (minimum price including the 2 bonus books), or $3 without the bonus.

Actually, the minimum is $3 and the minimum to unlock the bonus books is $10. Perhaps $11.19 was the current average at the time you posted?

To clarify:
The minimum you can choose to pay is $3.00 This does not include the bonus material. You must type in $3.00 if that is what you wish to pay. Don Last edited by Dr. Drib; 07-04-2013 at 08:38 AM. |

Thanks for the link! I didn't even know this existed, but at least 3 of the books look interesting.

As I suspected they'd do, they have added an additional bonus: the June 2013 issue of Lightspeed Magazine is now included if you paid $10 or more to unlock the bonuses. If you've already downloaded your books, follow the download link again. They also made some formatting changes on a couple of the books (for compatibility with older readers), so it might be worth downloading the bundle again anyway.

I understand that now, but that doesn't change the initial confusion for anyone going there the first time...

Yes, that's my opinion, as well. I wouldn't call it dishonest - not by any stretch - but it does seem less than forthcoming....which is too bad. They should have nothing to fear. Tell us the lowest price and then tell us the highest price....or make it much clearer than it is. I won't be shopping there. (But hey! That's just me.) Don |

I think the confusion is over the default price. I think Humble sets the default to the current average (so the bonuses will be unlocked), but you can pay more or less as you wish. StoryBundle sets the default to $15 (although only $10 is required to unlock the bonuses), but can pay more or less as you wish. Think of the default as a Suggested Retail Price.
