Marketing Advice for Writers - Forums
Having something to say does not confer the right to be heard.
BUT You can earn people's willingness to listen to you, and people who are interested are more likely to buy/download your ebook, because they want to make you happy. What Not To Do Wander onto a forum and post 10 messages about your ebook, and how it's available ___ and ___ and ___. That causes people to add the tag 'irritating git' to your space in their memory. What To Do Get involved in reading and writing communities. Be interested in other people. Read their books. Recommend your favourite authors. Add value to other people's lives. THEN tell them about your book. Then get back into being part of the community. Does that sound like too much hard work? Welcome to life. The real one, not the Second one. |
