And as usual you come here to bash bookeen, with no idea of what you're talking about... You're not even interested in buying a cybook...
Seriously, stop wasting your time. I've been using the new software on my odyssey for a little while, works fine. And an other review (In french sorry..) http://aldus2006.typepad.fr/mon_webl...t-complet.html |

I know I don't have a Muse, but I've seen the video and as much as people don;t care for the GoodEReader reviews, I saw what I saw and it was not nice. |

It's way better then the old one, adds lots of the features the bookeen firmware was missing. The screen ? It's carta. Nuff said... Page number, I've lost count of the number of time i told you there was a setting to remove them... Last edited by EowynCarter; 12-07-2014 at 03:31 PM. |

I checked my Muse and the bug with finger-swiping causing a full refresh shows up for me as well. I've entered a support ticket to make sure Bookeen are aware of this.
I'm still extremely happy with my Muse, although the criticisms of functions like annotations and bookmarks are probably legit (I don't use those things so I wouldn't know if there are faults or not). |

Didn't used dictionary much. Annotation, my main problem is that it don't works for PDF. And seriously, John, do I go on the kindle board to tell people perfectly happy with their kindle they shouldn't be because *I* think not having ePub is lame ? |

There is a shortcut to had a note or highlight a part of the text !
Here is what Bookeen Team wrote on its blog in french : "le raccourci est de poser 2 doigts sur l'écran en début et fin du passage choisi, le texte est surligné et 2 boutons s'affichent avec les options "Ajouter un surlignage" et "Ajouter une note". Et voilà !" English is not my native language but here is an attempt of translation : "the shortcut consists in touching the screen with two fingers, one at the beginning of the choosen extract and one at the end, then the text is highlighted and two buttons appear with the options "Add a highlight" and "Add a note". Here you are !" So the problem raised about annotations in GoodeReader's video doesn't seem totally justified. Moreover, Bookeen Team specified that the Muse has a Carta screen and not a Pearl. Which probably explains why the quality of the screen on the Muse is better than the one on the Ocean (I guess) I hope this comment was clear enough, don't hesitate to ask further explanations if not Last edited by druss; 12-08-2014 at 05:07 PM. |

The ocean screen is not from e-ink.
And indeed not up to today's standard. (though perfectly usable) |

Am I the only one who is not really stoked on this "edge to edge" screen? I mean, how do you hold this thing? On my Odyssey I already have to watch out not to touch the screen or the flip buttons, depending on my reading position. Making the edge smaller is the last I'd do, or does this make it easier to hold or something?

In other, sadder news, it turns out that dropping your Muse two feet onto a tile floor will crack the front plate up real good.

Has anyone figured out how to access the Web Browser on the Muse Essential? I cannot seem to locate it.

On the home screen, in the bottom part (library) you should have a word saying "browse" on the right or something like that (I dont't know the exact word because mine is in french sorry). It leads to the web browser
