Awesome. This is the kind of novel that I would write. I have an idea for a novella covering a similar theme that I hope to get around to writing one of these millennia.

I started working on making an ePub edition of For the Win. I had a look at the one that's on Cory's site and it's a rather poor quick and dirty Calibre conversion that reads like it's an eReader formatted eBook. No thanks. I'll post my conversion here when I am finished.

That would be good, Jon. Cory said, on his site, that the conversion offered first will be the only one he posts, because he doesn't want to adjudicate between different conversions. I'm sure yours will be a better epub and everyone on MR will benefit.

No need actually. I'll be posting it on MR and updating this thread. So when it's available, everyone on MR can get it. I'll be having two versions, one for Sony users who have Fontin installed on their reader and for everyone by including Fontin in the ePub.

I'm going to go off topic a sec to brag, Cory autographed my copy of For The Win today! I almost let him autograph my kindle too but it seemed mean to make him touch my DRM laden device.

I do know how to get someone to autograph an eBook.
You have to get the author to sign a blank page and then scan that signature and put it someplace in the eBook. |

What I did for this was open a new file in Paint on my Asus T91 MT and had them sign that using the stylus. Convert to png and I can insert it into the ebook file if I like. It won't work for everyone but it works for me.

Hmmm maybe next time I'll do that and try to get a digital autograph into an ebook, still to me it was worth the price of the hardcover (and the not getting real ink on my e-ink screen) to get to meet Cory.
