Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before.

What would I write in the replace box to delete the found expression? I have tried leaving it blank, \n, and \r.

Why don't you give an example of what you are trying to do? Search and replace? File conversion? In search and replace, you would just leave off the "found expression" if you don't want it.

Search expression: <p class="calibre2">[0-9]?[0-9][0-9]?</p>

If I were to do this by hand I would delete each found instance and the resulting blank line.
Now I see the replacement box is looking for text not an expression.

If you want to remove text using the search & replace option, just leave the replace text blank.

I tried leaving text blank. Search finds 59 incidences when I test, but does not replace them.

I see what I was doing wrong!! I had converted from pdf and was attempting to clean up the resulting epub. When using the search and replace I neglected to notice the input format was still PDF!!(Facepalm)
