Reading a Kindle book on Gen3
I am using the Mobipocket DRM on my Gen3.
I have bought some Kindle e-books - I know that they are the same as Mobipocket. If I buy the "kindle" format from a site such as Smashwords, then I can synchronise and it goes on my Gen3 without any problems. But if I buy from Amazon, I can't seem to transfer them. Can anybody help me with this? I even have some of my mobipocket books on my Kindle for PC application and can't get them to transfer back to my Gen3 either. |

Most, but not all, Amazon ebooks are MOBI with DRM (some are DRM-free MOBI and some are DRMed TOPAZ and a few are DRMed PDF). You need to strip the DRM to read on the Gen3. See Apprentice Alf's Blog for more on DRM issues.
