#amazon in file name

I use Calibre to transfer all my books to my HD. I noticed if I browse the Kobo in Windows Explorer, all the epub file are named: <title of book> #amazon.epub.

Any idea what the #amazon bit is for?

Calibre the save template to name the files when you send them to the device. The default is something like:

Code:
{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}
To get what you are seeing, someone has changed the template to include "#amazon". It might be hardcoded or a tag or something else. Look at the driver configuration to see what the template you are using is.

You're right, it was set to:

Code:
{title} - {authors} #amazon
What I don't know is how the Earth "#amazon" got in there - I definitely didn't type it in to the plugin settings!

Have a look at the "Sending books to devices"preference page. That has a save template. That is the default for the installation and is used if the driver hasn't been configured.

Yep, that had "#amazon" in it! Goodness knows why, again I never typed that in there! I clicked Restore to Defaults and it set it back to:

Code:
{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}
