SD Card Not Recognised by Calibre (Sony PRS-505)

I have a Sony PRS=505 and recently purchased a (Kingston) 16 GB SD card so that I can put my entire library on and not have to worry about synchronising for months.

In small batches I uploaded, via Calibre, approximately 10 GB of files onto the memory card until Calibre crashed.

Now Calibre does not recognise the SD card. The SD card is recognised in Windows Explorer (XP Pro, SP3) and has all the folders and books on it that were uploaded pre-crash. I've run chkdsk (all okay) and the initial check when windows boots up (and a storage disk is left in).

Unfortunately I am now at a loss so if anyone could offer any assistance I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Russ

Having posted this it showed me other similar threads...

I downloaded the Panasonic format program and ran it...it worked! The SD card is now recognised.

Now to transfer again...

Thanks,

Russ
