Denmark certainly is more relaxed, from my experience, but then that's typically what a regular and significant intake of bayer does to you. |

I think our benevolent neighbours the Russians will be slightly miffed by that and give us a hand. The Swedes will of course remain studiously neutral, while still letting US SEALS and such through their territory and assist in flushing out Norwegian citizens who have taken refuge in Swedish shopping centres and Systembolag.

May 17 is celebrated more intensly in Norway than June 5 in Denmark or June 6 in Sweden. I like Norwegians' nationalism. Unfortunately, last year there was a horrible example of it going to extremes. Swedes are nationalistic at soccer games and hockey games. Besides, Norway's gutter are usually quite cute.

Well i have nothing but admiration for both Finland and Norway as they both stood up to both Fascist and communist invasions in 1939- Finland & 1940 - Norway
Both the people and government's showed they where willing to fight for there freedom & put up heroic fights to defend themselves in WW2 against overwhelming odds . Last edited by darksaber35; 09-12-2012 at 03:59 PM. |

Let me put the record strait on something here. It's not a china mobile phone it's from a Company based in Hong kong thats behind the Goophone Y5 http://www.goophone.hk/ Always give credit where it's dew And if you think hong Kong and china are 1 and the same then your very much mistaken like a lot of Journalists seem to be also. Hong kong vs china differences - STANDARD OF LIVING , government,LANGUAGE , legal system, health care system, police force, transport network, business, education system, pay rates, separate patent offices and a whole lot more. Well there already being sold on both Ebay uk and usa but from only 2 different sellers based in china SO FAR.They don't seem to be selling well at all in the west , but maybe give it some time But im sure the african ,middle eastern & south east Asia(Indonesia & Philippines to name a few) shop owners that come to hong kong regularly to buy goods whole sale will be buying these in large numbers as hong kong & china products go down very well for there low prices in those regions. I think it is safe to say that most techies resent Apple because of their business practices. These business practices restrict what they can do with Apple and even non-Apple hardware (e.g. walled gardens and patents). As a general rule techies will choose to use or avoid Apple products based upon their own needs. My choice is Mac OS X and Android because that combination of platforms lets me get stuff done. Other techies will make a different decision, usually based upon wants and needs rather than ideology. |

FREEDOM OF CHOICE - The Hong Kong (HK) way
I returned from my first trip to Hong Kong way back in 2005 (lived there now 3 years on and off) and found a cell phone lover's paradise just waiting to be explored. Cell phone shops line most busy streets, and no, I'm not talking about stuffy carrier stores with a limited selection of only what they want to sell. Rather, I'm referring to full-fledged gadget shops with an untold selection of manufacturers and models, many of which I'd never seen in the flesh. It goes without saying that the offerings are light years ahead of what we get in the UK & United States, but also the entire cell phone culture is far advanced as well in HK. One of my Yummy girl's from the past. Per head Hong Kong has more mobile phone than any other country as most hong kong residents own normally 2-4 mobile phones at any 1 time.So giving freedom to customers to choice also increases sales for mobile phone company's . Unlocked phones are good, carrier control is bad Unlocked phones are not the exception in Hong Kong; they are the rule. If you want to buy a phone, you need only to pick out the model you want (and be warned, choosing from the huge selection isn't easy), take it to your carrier's store, and pop in a SIM card. It's a nice change from being forced to choose from the phones your carrier wants you to buy. On the downside, you won't get many carrier rebates, but in return you get something novel in the cell phone world--freedom of choice. Cell phones work everywhere You can get a signal anywhere in Hong Kong. Whether you're on a ferry, hiking to a peak on a neighboring island, or shopping in one of the numerous malls, a cell phone signal is not a problem, and dropped calls are almost unheard of. You can even get reception on the MTR - subway or in an underwater tunnel traveling between stations. In contrast the last time i went on the London underground i never once got a signal on my phone. And because the signal is so good , people using their phones on the MTR in hong kong don't need to bellow at the top of their lungs like in the USA or Europe Reasons why you would like Hong kong's mobile phone lifestyle compared to the west Cheaper phones -example Iphones cost around 3000HKD + and are normally £100/$150 CHEAPER than in the UK & Europe. NO SALES TAX IN Hong Kong Huge selection of phones ALL phones sold are Already UNLOCKED so you don't have to pay extra to give them FREEDOM Signal coverage pretty much every where you go so no black spots. Freedom to choice any phone with any mobile phone carrier. REALLY cheap and huge selection of spare parts like -Batteries,replacement cases, ear phones, items to customize your phone.
