Hello all
Found this forum after some bad luck- dead battery in my PRS505. Googled and found a link with the service manual. Now I'm here I think I might be a frequent visitor. That's all for now. Good to meet you all! Titus |

The PRS505 is dead: long live the PRS600
I'm sad to announce that the PRS505 is dead. I installed a new battery, but that wasn't the problem, but the charging circuit. Though I'm competent in electronics these micro-circuits don't lend themselves to repair.
I bit the bullet and purchased a PRS600, which seems to be a capable little machine, despite the quoted reflectivity and contrast issues (you just need a bit more light). |

Ave, Equitus.
You can try and sell your PRS-505 for the spare parts. A spare screen is something that many people value a lot. |
