Montgomery, Lucy Maud: The Blue Castle, v1. 06 Feb 2011
A work for adults by an author chiefly known for fiction for children...
'The Blue Castle' has a Cinderella plot, with a quite consistent, believable Cinderella and a mighty chorus. Written in 1926, it seems to be placed at least a decade earlier, in an Ontario small town, and includes a 'mystery man', among other features.
The text comes from Gutemberg Australia, corrected and formatted, thanks to Calibre and Sigil.

This was one of my very favorite books growing up. Great story and beautiful use of language. A classy take on a romance novel that young girls can enjoy. Thank you for sharing.
