Swiping will turn the dictionary page. If your swipe turns into a tap, then the full screen will be shown.

Apparently yes. I hadn't noticed it, but it will be handy for log definitions.

The one that is enabled through the config file works. I don't believe there where any changes in the kernel, so the hack for the 4.2+ firmware should work as well.

Thank a lot davidfor for these explanation... can we have directly an open of the dictionnary in full screen if the definition is in a single window ?

This is not related to how many pages there are. Just tap into the small dictionary screen, and the large one will open.

An update on the syncing and Rakuten/rakutenbooks for Pin lock.

Checked out syncing on my other Kobo - a Touch - no error message (if wifi was already on, of course). I then realised that the only setting difference was that my Aura HD affiliate had been changed to Rakuten to check out the Pin lock, so changed it to rakutenbooks. Both the Pin lock was available and it completed the sync without an error message (if wifi already on). Checked by trying the affiliate Rakuten on the Touch - got an error message on sync, then changed it to rakutenbooks - no error and it completed the sync.

To summarise:
Looks like no syncing fix for the wifi connection in this firmware.
Both rakutenbooks and Rakuten make the Pin lock available but Rakuten as affiliate will abort the sync with an error message.

Is there a list somewhere of all the accepted affiliate codes, and what features they enable? (pin lock, logo on sleep screen, anything else?) It might make another useful page on the wiki.

Edit: I filled in all the ones I could find in affiliate.conf

Hmmm... I don't see that. What it does do on my KA1 (and has done from the beginning, I think) is that it ignores the first touch screen action after a wakeup from sleep. It works after that.

On my Aura, I did a Wifi update to 4.3.8842 and then side-loaded 4.3.8871. Everything went as expected. This version seems snappier than 8842, and Kobo may (I hope) have finally fixed the long-standing issues with the two-finger front-light adjustment. For the first time since firmware 3.12.1, it seems that the light adjustment is once again fast, responsive, works every time, and doesn't have any oddities like randomly opening the dictionary or highlighting text instead of adjusting the brightness. I've been messing around with it for the past few minutes, and everything appears to be solid. This one may be a keeper.

Regarding the screen calibration using this latest fw
When I input an annotation on this firmware, the right hand side of the keyboard works fine, but the left hand side I have to touch about half a key to the left.
Anyone else can verify this effect?

In the current firmware I have on the KA1, the light adjustment while swiping doesn't work well. It works, but it jumps by 6% a time, and when I stop swiping, it does one extra jump in the direction I was swiping in.

I prefer using the +/- slider with the 1% patch installed. (But I've read in the earlier thread that the light now adjusts by 1% as a default.)

So they fixed it for the Aura but broke it for the Aura One.
