I'm sure they are swamped too just after Prime Day. Although I didn't order anything on Prime Day this year. I was just speaking in general, that when I have needed CS I use the Chat line instead of calling them. It's worked out well for me and the wait time wasn't long. Although I'm sure it's longer just after Prime Day as well.

I'm still getting "no-rush shipping" digital credits. Yesterday, the expiration date for new credits changed to January 14, 2018. Previous credits expire on September 17, 2017.

Prime members in the U.S. can check the expiration date of their credits here: https://www.amazon.com/norushcredits

After being offered only pantry credits, I was finally offered the $1 digital credit on an order I placed yesterday. Yay!

I ordered a new phone battery for hubs and trivets for the Instant Pot yesterday and looked to see what the incentive was. Furniture credit. No thanks.

I would LOVE the furniture credit. I have several furniture items on on wish list. But I've never been offered it.

I suspect they have algorithms to offer you credits on items not in your wishlist and not to offer you credits on items in your wishlist.

I suspect you are correct. But it seems like a bad business strategy. Amazon is obviously offering credit because they save on the 'no rush' option. All these pantry and furniture credits do is push me to always use two day shipping. Maybe it would make sense to offer the pantry/furniture credit once (or perhaps for a month) and see if the customer bites. Then, if not, go back to the credit the customer actually prefers.

I suppose there's some bean counter in the basement dungeons of Amazon that would tell me I'm wrong though.

I would guess, it is oh maybe you don't know about this department so let's offer you a little money to try it.

I just put something in my cart to see what I was offered. Still the Prime pantry! I guess it's my fault because I did use one before. A lot of stuff in Prime pantry is much cheaper, and you don't have to buy mass quantities to get a good price.
