language not listed in setup.
Hi.
We are looking at buying a friend a Kindle but her first language is Russian and 2nd choice would be Latvian. Is it possible to set a Kindle to these languages. Jes |

The Kindle will display books written in the Cyrillic alphabet, but there's no option for using the Kindle itself in Russian (and certainly not Latvian!). You may wish to consider Pocketbook instead. They are based in Ukraine and have excellent support for all Eastern European languages.

There are Russian localization hacks for the kindles, but you have to jailbreak it.
