I want to display more than 10 items
i noticed when going through the contents on HOME SCREEN it will



only display 10 items per page and has large amounts of space between



between each title as demonstrated in this post with the large gaps




between the lines.



Why is this the case?



The kindle can clearly display dense text when reading yet indulges in sparse



text in contents display necessitating large number of page turns if you have



large amounts of books and/or collections like i do which amount to 4600 and



200 collections.

There must be some flag in settings which displays just 10.
it could easily display 20 or even 40 by adjusting the font size.

where is this setting as i cannot see it when i connect to usb.

i cannot see the os folders either.

how can i make it visible?

Same way you make hidden OS folders appear on your computer. Depends on the operating system you are using.

I've never seen a Kindle display so few items on the Home Page. Try a reset.

i believe the limit is 10 due to the padding for long titles which are displayed beneath the short title and the progress bar.

actually windows me after 6 adjustments is very stable and snappy.

i use it about 70% of the time.

i use xp for memory intensive apps....like opening 10 to 20 youtube tabs in firefox.


in winme you can only open 6 or 7 youtube tabs before it runs out of gdi resouces.

i can copy/paste winme to any hard drive and it works.
easy backup.

ME was the worst! It crashed left and right. I'll stick to Vista 64. I liked XP when I wasn't repairing it but Vista have been the most stable for me.
