Removing Sample books from NC

Recently logged into my BN account for the first time with wifi and it loaded some free books and 2 sample books to my Nook. The free books I removed by archiving but how are you supposed to remove sample books?

I figured out that the only way is to log into your library on B&N site and pull up the sample books and delete them their then sync.

What is interesting is that physically deleting the files on the NC when attached to you PC doesn't remove the thumb.

I think this is the only way to really delete ANY B&N books (not just samples), right? You have to remove them from your account on the B&N server, which seems to require using a real PC.

Well purchased or free books disappear from your NC if you archive them and this happens without going to the B&N website I think.

What is this about needing a real PC to login to your B&N account? I can access my account through the Nook's web browser.

Yes, you're right. I was making the distinction between using "Shop" on the Nook, whereby you can purchase books, as opposed to having to go to their website with a browser to actually remove one of these purchased books.

Interesting to know that the Color Nook browser works this way. I've never actually tried it.
