You have found out correctly. Pocketbook's inbuilt reader app provides, on long press of a word in text, highlight, annotation, websearch, and dictionary search, but it does not provide in-book search.

Coolreader does not do it either. But in Koreader it works the way you want https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=254659
