Plugin idea: Obfuscate fonts - Page 2

I fail to see why any self publishing author would want to deal with such dinosaurs. Or how using a paid for font could possibly increase sales compared with using something free.
I suspect that most end users, i.e. ebook buyers / readers would fail to name most fonts if presented in an identity parade lineup.
Given that kindles have such a dominant market share and that to the best of my knowledge Amazon have never sued anyone for using their default Cecelia or bookery fonts, just go with those?

What I don't get is why these font foundries won't allow multiple uses if the font is subset.

Because they get paid for each use?
