Hmm...
There is one other "gotcha" in the gray-scale Kindles fastboot tool:
The "Main" image is too large to transfer to the Kindle but it does not report any error about its failure. It just silently fails.
Leaving a corrupted "Main" image file partially installed.

The "Diag" image and both kernel files are small enough to transfer.

Thank you very much again for your time, now that I am running out of options, and thinking that it is physical damage to memory, and thinking of buying it, I have the following question:
Can I program the memory from the serial connection?
or should I program it before mounting it?
Since I am really interested in recovering it, here in my country a PW costs around 200 USD ...

HELLO, KIND PEOPLE!

Okay, I guess this is a bricked PW?

I've taken to using the imx_usb_loader to resolve this, but I'm stuck at the very beginning as I'm not able to make the binary even. Yes, that's right - I'm a total noob at this, but this is what I get:
PHP Code:
ubuntu@ubuntu:~/imx_usb_loader/imx_usb_loadermake
cc
-c imx_usb.-o imx_usb.-pipe -ggdb `pkg-config --cflags libusb-1.0` -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -DSYSCONFDIR='"/usr/etc"' -DREL_SYSCONFDIR='"../etc"'
/bin/sh1ccnot found
make
: *** [Makefile:24imx_usb.oError 127
I also have no kernel images, and I'm totally playing this by ear.
Is there hope? HELP!

Here my experience:
- kindle3 bricked
- left charging for 2 weeks, still dead
- tried kubrick, and never passed the image flashing phase
- this morning even kubrick would not recognize the device
- fixed with a hair dryer as in this video (crazy!)
