Text editor on Kobo?
Hi for everybody. I'm new and English is not my mother tongue
I want to buy an Kobo Aura H2O reader. I know the "main" system on it is Linux. Is it possible to install apps on it? Even "manualy", not from the installator? Is it also possible to have a simple text editor on it which could save .txt file, just like Windows' Notepad? (Because Word docs editor is rather an unreal option... ) I want to make some notes when it will be necessary. Yeah, I know that I can install Android on my SD card, but I want to avoid this... Thanks for answer. |

The simplest option is pbchess, which includes a text editor (among other things).

My WebPortal mod also has a text editor of sorts (Notes) but since it uses the browser it only works with an active WiFi connection.
You can also put an empty ebook onto your H2O and then use the builtin annotations feature. Not really a text file though, on the upside no mods whatsoever required. Last edited by frostschutz; 11-29-2015 at 12:23 PM. |
