Guide for comics on the Jetbook
Hi everybody,
I'm new here though I've been reading this forum for help and tips since I bought my jetbook for christmas and you guys have been very helpful. I've seen there's some post on reading comics on the jetbook and I'd like to contribute a little on this topic. I recently wanted to add somic to my jetbook so I searched for a little help and found a page on how to transform a comic into a readable thing in ereaders. The page bases on an Ilad but if you change resolutions I think it can be done as well. So here are the original page adress (which is in spanish) http://comomcgyver.blogspot.com/2009...n-e-books.html and the translation Google did that I think it's pretty understandable http://translate.google.es/translate...ml&sl=es&tl=en I hope it's helpful for anyone, I'm trying my best with some comics I downloaded from http://www.comicbooksarchive.com/. I've been playing around with the XnView program from the link in asterion's post and found that just coverting and resizing the jpeg images to greyscale jpeg images work well on the JBL without the extra step of converting to PDF. Since JBL has the option of viewing pictures you can convert all the images into a folder and view them directly using that option. Anyone know the best resolution for the JBL in landscape mode? The blog mentions 800x1140 for the Ilad.

Is there a similar guide in English?
Can't follow the instructions. Sounds like a cool tutorial though. |

Also I'd like to give a nice tool to convert from cbr/cbz to pdf. It's free and it converts the files quite fast. The only inconient I see is that you can't change the resolution of the images but I guess you can manage that with the zoom function on the Jetbook. Here is the link to the program http://www.processtext.com/abccomicbook.html Enjoy it. |
