PBR 602 - Mac OS and Sd card?

So I'm a mac user, and it looks like the SD card does not show up on the Finder. On the manual, it says that the SD card will show up as a separate drive on the Windows Explorer.

Is this a mac issue or are there other operating systems with this problem? Is this something that is going to be fixed?

EDIT: It's showing up now all of the sudden. The fact that this is inconsistent bothers me a bit. I've also had some issues in Ubuntu where I need to replug it a number of times for PBR to show up as a drive.

While on ubuntu, I put some files onto the SD card, then rebooted into Mac. I don't know what triggered it, but now the SD drive is showing up all of the sudden.
