Question about GEB-1150

I bought a GEB 1150 off ebay. so far it is great. The only thing i am not sure about is the backlight. I can not tell if it is working or not. I read one post where someone said that it is kind of a greenish light. my screen does not seem to have that. I go into the contrast and brightness settings the setting that looks like a sun does not seem to do anything when i move it. does this model even have a backlight. the screen is just like a calculatot screen if the light in the room is dim it is hard to see.

thanks

It sounds like your backlight is not working. You should be able to see the effect of moving the brightness slider back and forth in normal room lighting.

Mine is bright enough to use as a navigational aid when wandering around the house after dark.

It may have come unplugged at some point. If you are brave enough, it's not too hard to open the reader to take a look.
