Rip Books From Kobo

Hello,

First I want to apologize if I didn't do as good of a due diligence to search for an answer before posting this question but I did search and could not locate a viable answer.

I have an old kobo wifi that has some books which I would like to transfer/rip from the kobo to pc.

Is this possible?

Do I need to connect to the sqlite DB and get them from the DB?

If they are books you synced from Kobo directly, you probably need to use Calibre with the DeDRM Obok plugin to decrypt them before you can read them on another device.

I suspect he is asking about the 100 books that came with the ereader that were stored in the database not as separate files.

I'm not sure how much we can go into detail here before mods intervene

You can give info on how to move the books to the computer. YOu cannot give detailed info on how to remove any possible DRM.

Since those books were all PD books, I suspect the moderators are not going to care how detailed the instructions get.

At one point, there was a .zip file with the 100 books in it mostly downloaded from Gutenberg.
