I'm guessing when they say "take notes" they mean "type notes" but I can't be sure.
At first I thought this was going to be a hardware thing, but it's a Mac or PC software suite (which is what leads me to believe it's not pen input based). Kind of reminds me of something like GoBinder but that imports entire digital textbooks. |

What's the difference between this and something like OneNote?

It looks like this will store all your textbooks and notes, along with papers in one place. OneNote takes notes, but does not store books. It says fully searchable notes and highlights. Apparently Barnes and Noble will be offering digital textbooks. Too bad they use that annoying "social DRM" method, that makes the books unusable any where else. Although I own a Nook, I will never buy a book from Barnes and Noble until they kill that DRM so I can read my book on whichever device I own with Adobe DRM.
