Uncaught SecurityError

I started the content server in Calibre (I'm using ver. 7.1), but my Kobo Clara HD browser won't load anything from it, and when I browse to it locally (ie, http://127.0.0.1:8080/ ) I end up getting the following error, in both of the browsers I use (Chrome & Brave -- both of which are, of course, based on the Chromium codebase, so maybe no surprise they give the same error).

Error: Unhandled error

Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read a named property 'CanvasRenderingContext2D' from 'Window': Blocked a frame with origin "http://127.0.0.1:8080" from accessing a cross-origin frame.
Error at inject.js:70:22

Traceback (most recent call last):
at chrome-extension://lanfdkkpgfjfdikkncbnojekcppdebfp/data/content_script/page_context/inject.js:70:22
Error: Failed to read a named property 'CanvasRenderingContext2D' from 'Window': Blocked a frame with origin "http://127.0.0.1:8080" from accessing a cross-origin frame.

I'm not too worried about the "security" aspect, since it's all local and firewalled, but it's stopping me getting at Calibre content from my Kobo. (Yes, I can use a USB cable, but that's more fuss.)

Thanks.

Localhost (AKA 127.0.0.1) was used for nasty purposes.
Use the PC's IP (if you hover over the Sharing icon, it should tell you what to use)

That's the id for an add-on "Canvas Fingerprint Defender". I'd try disabling it and see if that works
