liseuse et linux

Bonjour
j'utilise d'ordinaire et depuis longtemps le plus souvent des ordinateurs sous Linux (Ubuntu et/ou, mieux encore, Mandriva).
Certains d'entre vous ont-ils l'habitude de connecter leur liseuse à un système Linux ? Qu'en penser ? Avez-vous des retours d'expérience utiles ? Des remarques importantes ? Certaines liseuses seraient-elles plus satisfaisantes de ce point de vue ?
Merci d'avance pour toutes informations.

Les Cybooks sont vus comme un clé usb. Marche impec. Il me semble que c'est le cas d'une grande majorité des liseuses.
ADE version PC, tourne sous wine impec aussi. (Heu par contre, l'usb via wine, pas testé.... Donc l'activation risque de poser problème.)
Kindle for PC sous wine, total fail par contre.

Bonjour,

comme dit Eowyn, en gros tout ce qui lit du mobipocket ou du ePub devrait bien marcher sous linux (à une restriction près pour l'ePub).

En gros, la plupart des liseuses sont vues comme des périphériques USB depuis un ordi sous linux. Donc aucun problème pour y déposer des livres. Là où ça se gâte, c'est pour les livres avec DRM. Pour mobipocket, la DRM fonctionne en utilisant l'identifiant de la liseuse, donc tu peux acheter tes livres en ligne et les transférer par usb sur la liseuse.
Pour epub, il faut :
- authentifier la liseuse auprès d'adobe (a priori ça ne peut se faire que depuis un ordi windows, mais il ne faut le faire qu'une seule fois)
- pour chaque livre, le télécharger avec adobe digital editions, qui n'existe pas sous linux mais marche sous wine.

Ma PRS-505 est reconnue en tant que clef USB / lecteur de carte mémoire sous Mac OS X et fonctionne sans soucis avec Calibre (mais je n'ai jamais acheté de livre avec DRM).

Je confirme, aucun problème pour le cybook qui est bien vu comme une clé usb. Le logiciel Mobipocket tourne sous wine mais je n'ai pas testé s'il "voit" le cybook.
Pour les DRM et linux, et bien, cassons les DRM ;-)

Je confirme, aucun problèmes pour le sony 600 sous linux, reconnu comme lecteur externe.
Calibre s'en sort très bien.

DRM : je m'en moque, je n'en achète pas.

J'essaie de ne jamais utiliser le raccord USB, puisque cela diminue les points karma de la batterie avec une unité chaque fois (chez les plupart des liseuses). Étant donné que la batterie ne soutiens que 500 à 1000 chargements au départ et les batteries sont encore cher et difficile à remplacer, je fais tous mes transfers des livres par la carte SD.

Non non, sur les batteries modernes (et j'espère que les liseuses ont des batteries modernes), on parle de cycle complet :
500 cycles de recharge = 500 décharges complètes + 500 charge = 1000 demi décharges + 1000 demis décharges.
On n'est peut être pas à un ratio parfait, mais pas loin.

A noter aussi la quasi disparition des effets de mémoire.

Bon, je viens d’essayer Wine+Adobe Digital Editions sous MandrivaLinux : ça marche très bien, on peut même enregistrer le compte Adobe et l’utiliser pour ramener les bouquins verrouillés par DRM (au moins pour ceux achetés à la FNAC) et les lire à l’écran.
J’ai pas essayé de coupler ADE avec mon Bookeen pour voir si le transfert d’un fichier DRMisés marcherait. Mais qui lit des livres DRMisés, franchement ? :-)

Ca ne marche pas, du moins pas simplement pour copier depuis ADE, et idem pour enregistrer une machine

(il faut faire que Wine montre l'opus/gen3 (ou autre liseuse) comme un disque "windows" et pour les Sony avec leur driver spécifique, ça ne fonctionneras pas)
