Odd behavior with Pages generated ePub

I quit trying to use Sigil on my Apple "Pages" generated ePubs as they generate this weird behavior in Sigil.

Let me say that I've loaded some public domain ePubs in my copy of Sigil and all is fine so evidently it is the Pages generated ePub.

Here's the problem..
When I open the file every chapter opens with all this extra spacing. Here is the epub I generated from Apples own "Best Practices" Pages file:

Spoiler:

If I click on the "Select Heading" pulldown and release SOMETIMES it will immediately reset to "normal" as shown below. Some chapters will NOT change and remain as seen above.

Spoiler:

The files validate with "No Problems Found" - The ePubs work as expected (correctly) in at least 7 different iOS reading apps.....

Any ideas what's happening here in Sigil?

Can you post the code before it is loaded into Sigil and the code after is is loaded into Sigil? I'm thinking Tidy is doing something to the pages code.

Also try turning Tidy off and loading the ePub and see what happens.

Same results with Tidy on or off (before loading).

<p class="s6">This document will show you how to use paragraph styles to create a publication that looks great and is easy to navigate in ePub readers like iBooks. Paragraph styles in Pages make it simple to create a unique look for each part of your publication — chapter names, topic headings, body text, and more. Keep in mind that text colors might look different in ePub format, and that on export, document text sizes will be translated into three sizes — small, medium, and large.</p>

<p class="s6">You can also use styles to indicate how you want your document to be organized when exported to ePub format. In Pages, the top-level paragraph style selected in the Document inspector’s TOC tab is used to create chapters in your publication. When your ePub file is opened in an ePub reader, any text based on a paragraph style used in the Pages Table of Contents is displayed in a special Table of Contents, with each entry linking to the corresponding content in your publication.</p>

It would help most of all if you could attach an ePub that has this issue.
