as one of the rules you agree to when signing up for the KDK is:

#5 You will not, without our prior written consent, use our trademarks, trade names or logos in any manner, or issue or contribute to any press release or any other public statement relating to the Program, our relationship with you or the terms or existence of this Agreement.

Yes a number of people do, and if you search in this board you'll probably find some.

The API is listed on the site:

Looks pretty straight forward to create stuff for the K3. I am curious if you have direct access to local file storage or if a security exception is thrown.

Anyone know?

It mentions secure storage so I expect there to be some way of storing regular data as well but with lots of restrictions and checks.

Heavy sandboxing sure can cause some issues. But a lot of fun toys can be created even with unsigned applet-style sandboxing ... we'll get 1000 versions of Sudoku :-)
