Import to Calibre from file path

Hi!

Is there a (simple) way to import an Ebook to Calibre with the full qualified file path programmatically? Something like calibre.import(filepath)? I would like to do the same as when I am drag and drop an Ebook to Calibre gui.

And use the calibre.ebooks.metadata.meta.get_metadata fucntion to get the Metadata object needed by the above.

And once again that what exactly what I was missing because I used the db interface before but I didn't know how to get the mi from a plain ebook! Thx!
