Soft rooting and files

I tried to find this via search, but couldn't find it. If you soft rooted your Nook, would your ebooks (side loaded or B&N ones) disappear and you'd have to re-load them?

Sorry if this is a silly question. Basically I'm thinking of getting a Nook and want to know if I should bother loading books on it or wait till after I root it (if I get one)?

You'd have to reload your B&N content because I think you'll lose it when downgrading to 1.0.0 (first step in rooting). If you sideload to your micro SDHC card (which you need in to softroot), it will not be affected during the downgrade.
