OpenInkpot-based reader
Why not build and market your own OpenInkpot-based reader (based on some OEM device)? But still release OI as a GPL software.
Just a thought |

The Azbooka 516, see the E-book Reader Matrix, is a Hanvon N516 with pre-installed OpenInkPot. I'm not sure if it is for sale yet.

Yes, Azbooka http://www.azbooka.com.ua/ is doing exactly what the original poster suggested. The N516 will be on sale soon. However, Azbooka is targetting CIS countries only. They are looking for partners outside of that region.
And nobody is stopping you from partnering with another OEM manufacturer, paying a developer to port OI to that device and sell it to users who can live without DRM. |
