The 1818 text of Frankenstein

This is more of a book request really. I'm looking for the original 1818 text of Frankenstein in e format. Even the gutenberg version is Shelley's revised text. She changed a few things in the second version to make the book more palatable. In the original, Frankenstein's bride really is his cousin. In the second version, Shelley changed it to explain that she was really an orphan who had come to live with them and cousin was their nickname for each other. There are other differences such as Frankenstein being more a man of vice in the first edition. I'd really like to have the original version in e format. Anyone know where I can find it?

Oops! My mistake. There is a kindle and fictionwise version of the 1818 text. I would still recommend this to anyone who is interested in reading Shelley's original creation.

Not related to your question directly, but I was a little curious about what was regarded as unpalatable about marrying your cousin? Lots of people do so, at least in the UK; it certainly isn't illegal!

In many countries/cultures marrying a first cousin is illegal.

British Pakistani, among which cousin marriage is very popular, account for almost 1/3 of Britain's children born with genetic defects.

I seem from the similar posts box that someone has already posted a pd edition of the 1818 version. I still bought the Kindle version though because I am one of those weird people who likes to read prefaces and book commentary.
