Pour la série que je cite, je l'ai lu sur mon macbook pro, elle n'est pas encore disponible en France D'autres fois, je le fais sur une télé HD 40" (le macbook était branché sur la télé, j'ai voulu voir ce que ça donnait. Un petit peu excessif mais confortable)

J'ai essayé de lire certains mangas sur ma liseuse, ça passe pas trop mal la plupart du temps, mais le 800 x 600, franchement, c'est trop limite pour les bandes dessinées classiques (le manque de couleur passe encore) et limite aussi dès qu'un mangaka aime mettre des textes longs et écrits tout petit.

Je sais pas encore ce que donnera le 1024 x 768 de l'iPad à ce niveau.

Les affaires reprennent J'ai pu lire Mission of Honor (en ARC) et j'espère que David Weber ne mettra pas 5 ans pour pondre la suite. Même si ça va, il a eu la gentillesse de refermer une partie de l'histoire tout en en ouvrant une autre. Mais rien à voir avec le final infâme de Storm from the Shadows...

Il y a aussi le troisième tome des Guerres de l'Ombre et la Lumière de Janny Wurts, toujours sympathique avec son approche inversée du bien et du mal, et hier dans le train, le deuxième tome de Téméraire de Naomi Novik. Et me reste un ou deux romans, ça devrait aider à tenir

Là je suis en plein milieu de l'omnibus Sherlock Holmes créé par HarryT; je termine N'espérez pas vous débarasser des livres, conversations entre Umberto Eco et Jean-Claude Carrière sur le passé, le présent et l'avenir des livres, en plus d'une tonne de trucs pas trop marrants sur la physique nucléaire et la Constitution canadienne, pour l'université.

À trop couvrir de champs de lecture différents, je commence à avoir l'impression que je ne retiens plus rien!

comment tu as trouvé celui-là ? il me tente bien aussi.

moi, je suis en train de lire un livre formatté par Patricia : "In the teeth of the evidence" de Dorothy Sayers. je découvre son "autre" détective, Montague Egg (je connaissais juste la série avec Lord Peter Wimsey), il est pas mal du tout (même si je crois préférer wimsey).

Si vous n'avez pas encore lu "Cryptonomicon", je vous envie : un roman énorme à tous les sens du terme, qui se passe en gros pendant la 2e guerre mondiale, et qui tourne entre autre autour de la cryptographie...

Je l'ai en version papier, cadeau de noël d'une copine qui méprise les e-books et qui croyait, peut-être, que ce livre allait me faire renier Pengy. Beaucoup de "name dropping", mais ça ajoute à l'atmosphère, une fois que l'on décide que c'est vraiment pas important de savoir ce qu'est tel ou tel incunable en latin, ni tel ou tel scénariste de film italien.

J'ai commencé à lire le Voleur de vent, que m'avait conseillé un ami. L'histoire est agréable à suivre, mais je trouve un peu dommage que l'auteur ait choisi d'écrire le livre comme l'aurait écrit un Alexandre Dumas (et encore, faudrait que je vérifie, mais Dumas a sans doute un français plus moderne que celui utilisé dans le Voleur de vent). Autant pour les propos des protagonistes, je comprend l'effort pour coller avec le français du début du 17ème siècle, mais pour le reste, je trouve que ça ajoute un peu de fatigue à la lecture. Ceci dit, j'aime bien pour le moment même si il n'est pas certifié Nuit blanche

C'est juste que j'ai pas fini le livre d'une traite avec une nuit blanche à la clef (enfin, quasi nuit blanche, disons dodo très tôt le matin ) comme je peux le faire avec d'autres livres

Je viens de finir Izaïn, né du désert de Johan Heliot aux Editions L'Atalante. C'est dans leur collection Jeunesse, mais c'est vraiment un livre très agréable à lire. L'histoire se passe dans un univers à la Dune, ou l'équivalent des vers des sables sert de moyen de transport. En 200 pages, ça avance bien, même si l'auteur fini sur un cliffhanger (assumé)

Si vous cherchez un livre agréable pour vous occuper juste deux ou trois heures, c'est idéal. Et c'est aussi une bonne idée de cadeau pour un enfant (8 ans et plus selon le site officiel) qui aime lire (et peut-être même pour un qui n'aimerait pas lire).
