Can't get into the userCP section; it keeps booting me back to the main forum.
Also, all my headers & site nav text are apparently in German. (Presumably, I could change the language under user settings--if I could find them.) |

I cannot access the main forums page. I can access UserCP page and using subscribed threads I can get to some forums but all attempts to go to the main forums page returns error 404.
I have cleared brower history, restarted browser (IE 8) and rebooted my computer; nothing helps. |

Seems OK here using Firefox 11.0. Also, I never did get the redirect. When I was on the site, I was suddenly unable to connect. I went and checked the status and saw it was the site maintenance having had the date/time changed. So I didn't bother to go back for a while.

GeckoFriend, please check my response over here:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=13 Glad to hear that it works for you, Jon. This is quite an embarrassment... it seems like all of a sudden all updated browsers interpreted 301 redirect codes in a new way (in the correct way in fact) by permanently caching the redirect. That's bad of course since our update page was by no means meant to be permanent... |

Mint Linux here with the Mozilla 11.0 Some time ago I refreshed main page and it told me that there is maintenance going on. Now when I go to www.mobileread.com I am still redirected to https://www.mobileread.com/upgrade.html , except that the page doesn't exist anymore. Opera and Chrome do not have a problem, but I didn't use those to visit main page during shutdown. |

kacir, Firefox 11 caches 301 redirects. Please empty your cache and restart Firefox - that should fix it.

Katie, did you try to empty your browser's cache and restart the browser?
