They started doing that with books, too. THey have been pushing me to "sell back" new books I've purchased in the past for a less that 70% credit to my account. No, thank you. I actually keep the books I buy.

For some reason I think they want to control the second hand/resale market, too.

I happen to find my trusty and fully functional K2 with free wifi to be worth more than $40, so... pass.

Hey my DXG is $149. If they don't upgrade it to the new Kindle Format I can at least trade it in and get a K4 pretty much fully paid for. Given that I have used it for 18 months I can live with that.

But I will never trade in my K1. It is going to be a collectors item. I still have the box and all that came with it.
