I always thought of this as a "clothing optional" thread.

I have a beanie. And a Charlie Brown Shirt, as I recall. But that coconut bra chafed.

Although I do wonder about the kilted Marvin, even I am getting depressed.

i saw a guy wearing a khaki colored kilt and army boots a couple of days ago. he was tall, had many tattoos on his arms and legs (and possibly more under the kilt but i didn't investigate), and looked generally thoroughly punkrock, which is not usually the association i have with kilts. something told me he didn't need to worry about being teased about "wearing a skirt" anywhere in the world.
(does scotland have its own army ? if yes, do they wear khaki coloured kilts and boots ? that can't be the most practical dress for battle...) |

Do we have an army? DO WE HAVE AN ARMY?????
Yes. And no. And yes. Sort of. (sorry, lost track now) We do indeed have an army, some regiments have their own tartan, but they generally wouldn't wear the kilts into battle (at least not any more - see Braveheart) because of the aforementioned practical difficulties (sand gets everywhere and all that). I once dated an Officer, but when we couldn't go to my ball because he was on reccie that was the beginning of the end. Still, an Officer's Ball (which is how we first met) is a sight to behold. Anyway, I digress. Check out the Edinburgh Military Tattoo (which is on as we speak, and nothing to do with the tattoos which yon gent was sporting). All good fun, all good fun. Off to partake of more festival type goodies now, even though the weather is awful today. |

No. There are scottish regiments, but they are part of the British Army. That said, the Duke of Atholl does have his own private army.

It's a retrochronic campaign. We have already been tried and condemned in the court of public something or other. Our only hope is to go back to 1960 and make that whole set of shenannigans look oppressive, in order to give our administration a new luster.
