If the only sister of your mother's only brother has an only child, what would be your relationship to that child?

Probably a quick one then.
What links: the countess Olivia's serving woman; a winner of all four tennis Grand Slam titles since 2004; the granddaughter of Professor Gerald Robotnik? |

Too easy for you lot obviously. From Twelfth Night, Maria Sharapova and the character from Sonic the Hedgehog respectively.
Well done Bookpossum, over to you. |

Well, I didn't know the Professor's granddaughter, but I figured she had to have the same name as the other two.
Okay, here's one I prepared, borrowing Shayne's idea of book endings rather than beginnings. One point for the book title, one for the author. 1. They tied up the boat Lookfar that had borne them to the coasts of death’s kingdom and back, and went up through the narrow streets to the wizard’s house. Their hearts were very light as they entered into the firelight and warmth under that roof; and Yarrow ran to meet them, crying with joy. 2. But in spite of these deficiencies, the wishes, the hopes, the confidence, the predictions of the small band of true friends who witnessed the ceremony, were fully answered in the perfect happiness of the union. 3. On the way downtown I stopped at a bar and had a couple of double Scotches. They didn’t do me any good. All they did was make me think of Silver-Wig, and I never saw her again. 4. Then he whispered something I couldn’t hear; but I knew in a flash that the gap was closed, that the random years were at an end, the past and the future would join. She knew this too, for she ran into his arms calling out: “Oh Smithy – Smithy – it may not be too late!” 5. But I reckon I got to light out for the Territory ahead of the rest, because Aunt Sally she’s going to adopt me and sivilize me and I can’t stand it. I been there before. 6. I caught him, yes, I held him – it may be imagined with what a passion; but at the end of a minute I began to feel what it truly was that I held. We were alone with the quiet day, and his little heart, dispossessed, had stopped. 7. Then Richard nodded, without trusting himself to speak, and stood up. And they walked away together through the hole in the wall, back into the darkness, leaving nothing behind them, not even the doorway. 8. There was no moon. The sky above our heads was inky black. But the sky on the horizon was not dark at all. It was shot with crimson, like a splash of blood. And the ashes blew towards us with the salt wind from the sea. 9. He turned out the light and went into Jem’s room. He would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem waked up in the morning. 10. So he kissed her, always matter-of-fact, so as not to frighten her, and went on his way. And on the way home, she met her brothers, and there was a rough-and-tumble, and the lovely crown was broken, and she forgot the message, which was never delivered. |
