Missing spaces between words
I have noticed that with various titles, there are missing spaces between words. Is this likely to be a conversion/calibre error, a problem with the source file, or the device (kobo)? I would say it happens with 7/10 titles.

It is most likely to be a problem with the source file. If the spaces are there between the words, then the Kobo device will display them. I don't think I have heard of a conversion losing spaces between words. So, I would expect that it is the source document. And really the only way to find out is to look.

It's a common issue when converting PDF files, but it certainly shouldn't happen when converting any other format.
