Hacks X-Ray file generator for Kindle Touch

Everything worked fine thanks again..
I need help in one more thing.. Can you tell me how to create aliases?

In the Calibre plug-in:
Open the XRay generator as usual, then specify a filename in the "Aliases file" box.
Then run the generation as usual. The generator will create a text file which has the character's names, one on each line.
Open the file with a text editor and, for each character you want to have aliases, add a | character and then the aliases.

eg for "Frankenstein" I have the following alias:
Victor Frankenstein|Victor

I can't remember what happens if you want multiple aliases for the same character, I think it's comma-separated, so you'd have
Victor Frankenstein|Victor,Vic
or something like that.

Then re-run the XRay generator - this time, instead of creating the file, it will read in the aliases you've added.

Calibre plug-in does its job, but when i put the file in kindle, the x-ray button is still grey, when I put the file which you have created in stand-alone, it works fine.. So i decided to use the command-line version, but can't figure out how.. Can you help me with that? I promise, it will be the last help, i will ask)) I know I'm getting enoying, I'm trying to figure all out by myself, but seems like my knowledge is not enough.

I have downloaded Mobi_Unpack_v047; xray-builder-v1.50-win32 and couldn't figure out how tu run them.. Also i've got py2exe-0.6.9.win32-py2.7.exe and when I try to install, it says "Python version 2.7 required, which was not found in the registry"

I just use the files from xray-builder-v1.50-win32, I didn't download a separate Mobi_Unpack or py2exe.

I just run it from a command window as, for example:

XRayBuilder.exe -s http://www.shelfari.com/books/4283291/Frankenstein "D:\Documents\Calibre Library\Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft\Frankenstein (14)\Frankenstein - Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft.mobi" -a "D:\Document\Calibre Library\frankenstein.aliases"

How are you launching XRayBuilder? Are you just double-clicking on the .exe file?

I've read that example, but is that all I have to put in? yes, I am just duuble-clicking on it..

OK, that won't work. You need to start a command window and type in the command.

To start a command window, the easiest way is probably to go up a level in Windows Explorer, then press Shift and right-click on the folder containing the XRay Builder exe. This should give you an option "Open command window here". Select that and it should open a window in which you can type your commands.

I've run the command window successfully, I typed the command following your example.

XRayBuilder.exe -s http://www.shelfari.com/books/11106/A-Feast-for-Crows "C:\Users\Zura\Desktop\Martin, George R. R_\Feast For Crows, A\Feast For Crows, A - George R. R.Martin.mobi" -a C:\Users\Zura\Desktop\2

It looks like you need quote marks around the path to the .mobi file - I don't see any in the screenshot.

Still, gives me this error and there is nothing in output folder..
