Onyx help service won't answer me. I have a problem with a C67ML

This Boox is somewhat buggy. So, I really would like being able to update the firmware, but I can't do it. I get "package verify failed". The only "solution" I found on the Internet was removing the SD card. It didn't work for me. Also, my device has an unknown serial number. I would like to know if this is normal. The case has a number on the back. The firmware I'm trying to install is this:

Ok. I could install 1.8.1 from an img (not a zip) found on the chinese Onyx forum. I installed it with FactoryTool.

Second, the "unknown serial number" is normal, so I guess that was not the reason why the Boox help team left my Facebook message on "seen".

Third, I'm downloading the 1.8.2 update.zip from baidu (it's very slow), found on the same forum. I will update this post when I can try this update.

Hello, Bookobo, I've answer you on Msg and provided a link to download 1.8.2 package. Have you done the upgrade? If there is still any problem, please feel free to contact us on FB Messenger.

Thank you. I used an 1.8.2 I found on that forum (BOOX C67ML V1.8.2 is the name of the download link). I don't know if it's the same as the one you sent me, which was the same link as the one I've tried using at first. Notice that you sent me the same link as the one I sent you at first. The one at Google Drive.

I forgot to mention that Android recovery mode also failed updating directly to that 1.8.2. When I already had 1.8.1 installed, I tried updating to 1.8.2 with the new download I found, using the update option on the Boox. It worked! Cloud update didn't work

The Boox is way better with this new firmware.

Now I have a new C67ML (Pearl) with 1.7.5 firmware. Can I get the upgrade files to go to 1.8.2?

I have been messing with a C67ML and I have to say I prefer a modified firmware made by user "FOV". The firmware was called "Gonyx". It works great, and has the best battery life.

I could help you figure out how to install it. It took some time, but it's worth it.
