Pulling RSS from listserv w/a login?

Hi all,
I'm a member of a listserv that serves up rss thru this url:

feed://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?RSS&L=OCU-MEL&v=1.0

In my browser, I can go to that url login and see an RSS feed etc. I am very new to eReaders and Calibre but I created a user recipe using the above url as the feed and when I tell Calibre to download it to a book I get a bunch of HTML that starts like this:

<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr> <td> </td> <td align="right"> <table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr> <td class="userRole"> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" class="titleBorderTop"> <colgroup> <col width="30" /> <col width="*" /> <col width="275" /> </colgroup> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.lsoft.com" target="_blank"><img src="/archives/images/b-listserv.jpg" alt="LISTSERV mailing list manager" title="LISTSERV mailing list manager" border="0" /></a></td> <td><a href="/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?INDEX&X=&Y="><img src="/archives/images/b-version.jpg" alt="LISTSERV 16.0" title="LISTSERV 16.0" border="0" /></a></td> <td align="right"> <p><a href="/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?SHOWTPL=HELP-LOGIN&X=&Y=" target="_help"><img src="/archives/images/b-help.png" alt="Help for Login Required" title="Help for Login Required" border="0" /></a></p> </td> </tr> </table>...etc

I guess part of my problem is that Calibre is not authenticating? Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get my recipe working?

Also, how do I stop the Calibre "book cover" from being included in the books?

Thanks!

The experts on recipes are all subscribed to the Custom Recipe sticky thread. If this doesn't get a response you might want to post it in that thread.

Also in a recipe use
Quote:
cover_url = 'http://www.this_is_just_an_example.com/mycover.jpg'
to specify the url of the cover you want calibre to use for the recipe.
