A Patch of Darkness by Yolanda Sfetsos is 1st in her Sierra Fox series of ghost-hunter paranormal urban fantasy action adventures with romantic elements, free courtesy of publisher Samhain.

This has a mild 2 out of 5 flames on the heat index at All Romance eBooks and the series continues with the same heroine throughout, so it's likely to be fairly high on plot and only medium on relationship drama like similarly-tagged others of Samhain's non-couples-switching urban/paranormal fantasy series which I've tried from their freebies.

Currently free @ B&N, Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & Google Play (both available to Canadians), as well as DRM-free in multiple formats over at All Romance eBooks and directly from the publisher (once their site is back up from doing maintenance).

This seems to perhaps be free to promote the upcoming latest in series which is available as a pre-order, and over in the Romance megathread, Anemic Oak has kindly pointed out a 40% off coupon for Samhain's own webstore which may or may not still be working once they get back from doing maintenance, if you're interested.

Because I think I might have actually bought one of the novels in this series when it was dirt-cheap on pre-order discount and stackable with a holiday sale coupon and thus it's nice to get the 1st in series free.
