We'll be having our traditional 'brown' meal:
Roast turkey breast Herb Stuffing Gravy Pillsbury Grands biscuits Guinness We've given up on dessert - substituting left-over biscuits if we get the munchies later in the evening. |

We had Chinese food + roast + turkey.
All were on the buffet. With just two here, we don't do a big dinner. |

Our new tradition, The Best of Thanksgiving Dinner, viz.:
Champagne Appetizers Dessert We've eliminated all the middle stodge that requires so much work and we don't like all that much and takes so much room in the frig after. I recommend it. We'll do a repeat for Christmas. I put on an eatin' skirt and it was great. Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Yanks! |

Until a few years ago we hosted the family dinner here. Now, Mom and Dad are getting a bit old for the travel so we moved the get together over to their place, but we bring the food and clean up when we're done.
We had turkey (and gravy), cornbread stuffing, cranberry/raspberry sauce, green bean casserole, a rice pilaf, and biscuits. And a lot of laughs. |

Sinner? I think not! There's always St. Paul, "use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities." If ever your stomach needed some Champagne, it's Thanksgiving. Purely medicinal; the bubbles are a digestive aid. |

OK, as long as it's medicinal. Is Jack Daniels considered medicinal?

Leftovers
Assemble and grill. Serve with dill pickle spears, potato chips, and a mug of root beer. |

Leftover turkey, cranberry/raspberry sauce, and rice pilaf. But not for long -- the kids are home for the weekend!
