Electronic book readership grows but will that translate into sales of readers

The original article was published by Ziff Davis publishing. What follows is my sumary of what ziff davis published.

Electronic readers are growing amoung readers between the ages of 18 and 47. The data that ziff davis is looking at does not break down the readership by the electronic reader (Kindle, Nook or ipad). IT is often argued that the readership has increased becuase of the drop in prices below the $99 threshold (my commentary - the $99 threshold is often seen as the point where people stop making well researched buys and start buying on impulse, thus now electronic readers have become impulse buys, end of my comments). Becuase of the rise in the readers the sales of the books have inevitably risen. (My addition) questions remain if (end my comments) consumers will shell out more dollaras for more comprehensive readers. PRN News wire comments that it has become easier to envison a world without printed books.
